The Pain of Moving

Moving sucks. There’s just no way around it. Finding a new place is a hassle, but nothing compared to the actual event of moving itself. Unless you’re fortunate enough to simply call a full service moving company (which has dangers and frustrations all its own) then you’re in for a lot of work and stress.

We’re moving to Denver in the next four to six weeks. Yesterday was the first of several yard sales in an effort to slim down our moving mass. What we’re aiming for is more of a “relocation” and less of a move. What’s the difference? The mass and volume of stuff. We’re selling almost everything. Living room set, family room furniture, books, clothes, nicknacks, whozits and whatsits galore. I even sold off my Fender Strat for an obscenely low price. Could have made more than double on Ebay – if I’d wanted the hassle, which I don’t.

We still have to locate a place to move in to. So, if you know of a place in SW Denver with 3 or more bedrooms, at least 1.5 bath for $1,400 a month or less, feel free to drop me a line.
